What I have found about my Great-Great-Great Grandparents is that Szymon BISKUP was born about 1811, had possible siblings Peter (Francisca Mariaszek) and Julianna, and was a Famulus or servant. He’s also listed as a cameranius, which was a groom, valet, or chamberlain. Szymon died on 4 Oct.1867 in Hub.Laskownica.
Zofia was born in 1814 (I’ve yet to find the records of her or Szymon’s births) and died at 40 years of age on the 6 Feb 1854, of Febrio Nervosa or High Fever. Szymon Biscup and Zofia Zamorska were married in 1 Mar1835 in Łęgowo-Tarnowo. The witnesses were Jan Biscub and Marcin Pawleck.
They had at least nine known children, (only a few lived to adulthood) all of whom were born in Łęgowo, Wagrowiec.
Adelbert, b. 5 Apr 1835, Michael, b. 1836, lived for 3 months and died 1837, Agnes b. 17 Jan 1838, Vincent born 30 Mar 1839, Michael who died on the same day he was born in 1840, Andreas born 26 Feb. 1841, Jan born 18 Oct 1943, our 2nd great-grandmother, Catharina born 10 April 1846, and Josefa born 9 Mar 1848. Possibly Valentine and Francisca were also of this clan.
The marriages we have found thus far is for eldest gal, Agnes, who married Jan Wojik in 1865 and had Marianna in 1867, and Francis in 1865 in Huby Brzezno.
The eldest son, Adelbert (Wojiech) married Catherina Sokoloska in 1855 Lubosz. We do not have confirmation that this is the correct Adelbert yet. This is a case where dna results would help confirm this relationship.

Hello, I have realtives that I have been searching in Lengowo. Martinus (son of Jacobus Horka) owned farms in Lengowo. Jacobus born 1816 married Agnes Madaj in Srebna Gora 1856. Johannes Stojaczyk born 1820 married Sophie Sprawik 1841 in Mrocza.
Vincent Weimann had a son Narcz Weiman, a school teacher in Lengowo and then Wagrovich, (Bromberg). He had my Grandfather John Horka, born US but traveled to Lengowo, in school with Ludwiga Stojaczyk. Ludwiga and John married after Ludwiga was sent to Chicago by Narcz to avoid the war.
Robert, sorry for this late response.
That is a very interesting story of your people from Lengowo.
I am particularly curious about your grandfather traveling back to go to school in Lengowo. Do you know if that was a usual practice?
Somehow, the story goes that my great-grandfather, Big Joe Moraniec from Bobrowa –near Debica — met his first wife, Josephine Garbaczyk from Glinik Polski –near Jaslo–at school and it seems that that had to be in Poland.
