Dunkirk NY and Wisconsin Laseckis

The Wisconsin Laseckis are definitely cousins. We know this because there are several who show up as 4th cousins via dna. The problem is, we don’t know how the first WI Lasecki, Valentine is related. For instance, Jodi Dosman descends from Herman Lasecki, a son I beiieve, of Walenty/ Valentine. Valentine was b. 1852, which places him in the same generation as other children of 3rd great grandfather, Martin Lasecki, my Andrej’s father. We know that Andrej emigrated, perhaps more of his siblings left. We do know that Joseph Felix, Martin’s son via his 2nd wife, Margarethe Polega, became a Port Austin WI farmer.

There is another Wisconsin connection.

The Dunkirk Laseckis are another puzzle. As far as I know, no one on the Dunkirk Lasecki line has been dna tested. If you are reading this, and have, please let us know. The reason I have a hunch they are related is because of the strong Lasecki-Moraniec family links and the Moraniec link to Dunkirk ……and because generally, folks traveled to Buffalo and then went down the Great Lakes (Erie in this case) to get to Detroit…..

Lawrence (wawryzniac)), b. 1852, married in 1877 Rosalie Graminska, b. 1855. His parents were Mattheus Lasecki (no slash through the L) and Magdalena Szepaniak. Rosalie’s parents were and Anton and Marie. This is listed in the civil registry of Gołańcz, Wagrowiec and the Catholic registry of Czeszewo.

The question then is, Are Matthew and Magdalena related to our Antony….possibly as cousins, since they are from the same generation.
