Descendants of Wojciech (aka George or Adelbert) Garbacik  b.30 Mar 1830 in House 4 Glinik Polski to Sebastien Garbacik and Marianna Garbacik and Helena (aka Lena Skora) b. 1843 to Michael Skora and Catherine Skwarlo. These are Jozefa Garbaczyk‘s parents…..Helen Moraniec Lasecki’s grandparents….Priscilla’s great-grandparents

Wojciech and Lena have 6 children who survive to adulthood, (Antonina, Frank, Josef, Karolina).

1- Antonina Garbacik b. 16 may 1869, marries Antoni Garbacik (parents Thomas and Victoria Szurek)

Antonina and Antoni have nine children in Glinik Polski.

3-Josephine aka Jozefa Garbaczyk b. abt. 1873, d. 2 Apr 1907 | (Holy Cross Cemetery Detroit Michigan) who marries Joseph “Big Joe” Moraniec b. 2o Nov 1868, Bobrowa, Austro-Poland, d. 6 Jan 1944, Holy Cross Cemetery Detroit MI . When Jozefa dies of pneumonia in 1907, she tells her husband, Joe, to marry Teresa Biedron who is reportedly Jozefa’s cousin or half sister….and Joe does marry Teresa and they have 6 more children.

Big Joe and Jozefa have 7 children who live to adulthood: Mary, Jack, Helen, Lucy, Sophie, Alec, and Hedy.       

  1.   Mary Moraniec b. 30 May 1893, Detroit, Michigan, USA, d. 4 Apr 1958  Married Stanley Kuczkowski b. 30 Aug 1892, Gallicia, d. 13 Dec 1976, Detroit.

They had two boys: Joseph William Kuczkowski (became KAY) b. 3 Nov 1916, d. 14 Sep 1996, Florida |who married Sonia Stankiewich aka “Sunny” b. 1917, d. 2011 Fort Myers, FL. They had a daughter and a son, Gary died 2006, Michigan,

AND Leo J Kuczkowski b. 8 Nov 1918, d. 31 Mar  1974   Detroit|Leo did marry (wife unknown) and they had two children.

2.John (Jack) Moraniec b. 16 Jun 1895, Detroit Michigan, USA, d.1 Dec 1965 Michigan, USA |Married +Regina (Raggie) M Bezesky b. 4 Mar 1894, Michigan, USA, d. 9 Jul 1971, Redford, Wayne, MI, USA . They had no children .

3-Helen Josephine Moraniec b. 17 Sep 1896, Detroit, Wayne, MI, USA, d. 6  Dec 1976, Locust, Monmouth, NJ, USA. Married Walter Casimir (Wladyslawa) Lasecki b. 18 Sep 1894, Detroit, Wayne, MI, USA, d. 10 May 1960, North Branch Michigan . They had two girls born in Detroit.

3-Ludwika (Lucy) Moraniec b. 5 Dec 1898, Detroit Michigan, USA d. 22 Jan 1920 Detroit.  Married Michael Lipa b.10 Jul 1893 Detroit MI, d. 9 Aug 1959 Detroit MI. They had a stillborn child and one son,-Chester Moraniec b. 9 Jul 1918, Detroit, Michigan, d.14 Feb 1981, (Baltimore National Cemetery) He married Elena b. 26 May 1926 d. 7 Feb 2000. Chester and Elena had one son, who did not live one year Stephen J Moraniec b. 25 Jun 1956, d. 12 Aug 1956,                                                            (Baltimore National Cemetary sec.H site 2274)

4-Sophia Theresa Moraniec b. 5 Dec 1900, Detroit, Michigan, USA, d. 7 Mar 1994,  15270 S.Plaza Dr., Taylor, Wayne, MI. Sophie’s first husband was  Frank M Przyblski b. 10 Mar 1890, Michigan, USA, d. 7 Jul 1942, Detroit  Michigan. After Frank died, she married Anthony (Alec) J Lasecki b. 5 Feb 1906, Michigan, USA, d. 16 Jul 1967, (Our  Lady of Hope Cemetary (Boran Funeral Home)).She did not have children.

5-Alexander Moraniec b. 10 Feb 1903, Detroit, Michigan, USA, d. Jun 1982, Burlington, Des Moines, IA, USA. Married Angela M (Angeline) Lasecki b. 2 Oct 1903, Michigan, USA, d. 22 Mar 1992, Burlington, Des Moines, IA, USA. They had two sons born in Michigan.

6-Hedwig (Hedy) Moraniec b. 7 Apr 1906, Detroit, Michigan, USA, d. 30 Oct 1993, 85304 Glendale, Maricopa, AZ Married Peter P Kargas b. 15 May 1902, d. 4 Sep 87, 85015 Phoenix, Maricopa, AZ  They had one son:  Peter A Kargas Jr b. 1 Sep 1927, Arizona, d. 26 Jun 2003, (National Memorial Cemetary of Arizona sec 18Dsite 2594) Peter married Lois E (family name unknown) b. 4 Aug 1925, d. 26 Dec 1994, (Buried With Peter)

5. Karolina b. 12 Jul 1879, who marries Pawel Garbacik ( his parents are Thomas and Victoria Szurek also). Karolina and Pawel have 10 children, all , I think,  while living in House 61, Glinik Polski.
